Cecilia`s Mexican Restaurant in Columbia

Never eat in that place they reuse the chips when someone doesn't eat them all. Gross!

The staff is very friendly and the food is VERY good! I would eat here nearly every day if that were possible.

There are very few places with good molé, but this is one. Came highly recommended from a friend and did not disappoint. Will definitely return!

It was ok I didn't care for the Shrimp & Fish Chimmi, it tasted like store bought frozen mini shrimp & I didn't even see the fish. The queso was very good but overpriced for the little saucer that they considered a large & lastly I guess I was expecting the sangria margarita to be frozen. I guess I should've went next door to Zorba's & got the overpriced pizza that I originally set out to get for 30.00 at least I would've had some leftovers.

Cecilia's is my favorite Mexican Restaurant. She is an excellent host and there is lots of authentic Mexican food. My favorite dish is the fajitas that come on a sizzling iron plate. The price is too low. She should charge a little more.

Best salsa I've ever had, and amazing customer service

Give Cecilia's a try - I don't think you will be disappointed. Although the atmosphere is not fancy, the restaurant was clean and tastefully decorated. The roses on the table were so pretty I didn't want to touch them to find out if they were silk or real. This is a family run establishment with courteous, pleasant and friendly service. Our waitress had no problem handling my son's substitution for an extra enchilada and special request for no lettuce on the taco (he didn't think to specify tomatoes, but they were thoughtfully put on the side). The portions were very generous and what I would classify as "authentic" Tex-Mex. I really enjoyed the Seafood Enchilada dinner with Mexican Potatoes. It was a refreshing change of pace. I am looking forward to returning for dinner in the near future to try some of the special dishes not found at a typical mexican restaurant like San Jose's.

Food was awesome, the steak fajitas and tamales had wonderful taste. Great waitress, very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be coming back.

The food was really good. I got the California Buritto which was very filling. The service was excellent. I had never been to Cecilia's and tried it with a Local Flavor $20 for $10 Deal. I'm glad I went. I'll definitely go back.

The whole family was in the mood for some Mexican delicacy, so we looked this place up. We didn't have to wait long to be seated and served and our waitress was very nice. The food, OMG...... IT. WAS. DELICIOUS ☺. The portion was more than enough. Everyone was stuffed and happy. Will visit again. 👍 👍

Easily the best Mexican food place in the greater Columbia area.

Great food at a reasonable price. This is authentic Mexican cuisine, with offerings you won't find at some taco shack. Food is prepared to order. For a treat, ask for an order of Mexican potatoes, if it does not come with your entree. There is Veracruz-style seafood, carnitas and cabrito (roast young goat). It has been family run for many years. Service is always polite.Update: sadly, the family who originally owned Cecilia's sold the restaurant, due to illness. Menu has changed, and so has the quality. I wish the new owners well, but they need to up their game.

I lovd Cecilia's so much! I have been going there for years and it is always super delicious. Large portion sizes for the price, and they recently started serving margaritas and some beer. The staff is very friendly and kind, too. Make sure to ask for the hot salsas, they've got a green and a red that are super delicious! One of the more authentic Mexican restaurants with options for everyone. Everything is fresh and delicious!!! (My only suggestion would be to invest in some actual rocks salt for the margaritas and to really rim the cups with it, other than that everything is amazing!)

Service incredible. Felt "at home" with white table cloth, flowers and hutch in the corner. Very relaxed on Saturday afternoon. Server said the mole sauce was made in Mexico and sent over. Interesting flavor. Made my eyes water. Will be back.

We got a Groupon and decided to try this place again, as it had been several years since we last ate there. I’m kicking myself for waiting so long to go back: the food was flavorful, the staff was excellent, and they were easily able to accommodate several dietary restrictions that usually keep us from dining out often. In addition, the menu prices are so reasonable for the amount and quality of the food that we will definitely be back again soon!

Place was empty, as per my last visit! I'm always hesitant when a restaurant is empty of customers, and their specials involved shrimp (how fresh could it be if no one ever eating it?!) We got a cheese enchilada with a beef enchilada, side of rice & refried beans. Food was okay, nothing amazing.. plates hotter than our food unfortunately. Then when we were ready to leave, waited 5 min on waitress/cook to come back out to sitting area so could get our tickets. Nothing horrible, just average..

As a Mexican American I can HONESTLY say that this place was amazing I felt right at home. This place has the BEST salsas, guacamole, tacos, beans and rice. We live in Georgia and we will deff be back here just for this food.

Superb. Excellent food and service. The shrimp in the quesadilla is nice and juicy and the seasoning is perfect.

Friendly service and good food reasonably priced, my favourite part was dessert, soppadilla with vanilla ice cream drizzled with honey.

Hands down the best authentic Mexican food around Columbia. They serve goat, which is by far the best quality I've found. The service is genuine and fast. No substitute for this experience.

Nice little place. Great food. Not like a generic Mexican restaurant with bland tacos and burritos. There plenty of places to get that. If you want real flavor, this is where you should come.

The food was delicious I had steak, thin, but really great flavor, also the rice and beans are good, however, the deep-fried cheese cake was yuke 🤑, the presentation was nice, but the cheese cake was still frozen I didn't enjoy it or finish eating.

By far one of the BEST Mexican restaurants in the Columbia area. Food is authentic homestyle Mexican cooking. That being said if you enjoy Americanized "Mexican" food this is not the place for you. We were honored to be served by Mrs. Cecilia herself. Service was excellent, all of the staff was very kind and attentive. We had a large group so got to try a lot of items from the menu. Everything was seasoned wonderfully and we were all more than pleased with our food choices. For dessert we had the flan (to die for) and fried ice cream, both excellent! Price point is more than reasonable. A group of 7 adults and 2 children ate for less than $100! We will definitely be back. Thank you so much for a wonderful dinner Mrs. Cecilia!

Delicious food, friendly service. Be sure to ask for the hot sauce - green (creamed jalapeno) and red - both more flavorful than hot. We'll be back.

As much as I'd like to say i loved it...the food and sauces were somewhat bland. The owners were nice to a fault. The service was great....if the food had just been a little better.

Good food

This place has been around for a long time. This is more authentic food than most serve. Don't go here expecting Taco Bell type foods and tastes. I always enjoyed my meals here and the owners/staff are always very nice.
